Production Manager
Responsibilities
Describe the responsibilities as clearly as possible. Which tasks is the job holder responsible for and in what way? What results are to be achieved?
To ensure then manufacturing team ensures delivery as per schedules & SLA agreed with the Businesses in terms of time, cost & overall efficiency per litre of paint manufactured
To support and implement the business manufacturing excellence program and process improvement initiatives to deliver enhanced plant capability and exceeding Key Performance Indicators set
To assist the ISC team ensure achievement of Value creation targets through manufacturing excellence
To prepare, seek approval and implement investment approved for annual capital expenditure to ensure an improvement in efficiency
To create safety awareness, maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure effective implementation of established work practices and safety procedures to achieve accident free and healthy working environment in the production areas.
To engage Engineering, R&D and other functions to fulfill production needs
To ensure achievement of sustainability targets through efficient manufacturing practices – water consumption, electricity usage & waste creation
An ability to communicate effectively with personnel engaged in manufacturing to ensure strict adherence to AkzoNobel manufacturing processes
To maintain an atmosphere in department which increase employee’s commitment and involvement in HSE, Quality and Production Initiatives
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering ( Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry and knowledgeable of production and business processes and have strong background in Engineering, Logistics, Production or HSE.
Must be experienced in personnel management with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience with multi-discipline teams. Must be knowledgeable about personnel management systems & best practices
Sound experience in a batch-processing factory environment and preferably knowledgeable about Lean Manufacturing concepts and principles
Good analytical skills, financial knowledge and experience in managing change initiatives
