Muscat: The Government Communication Centre (GC) has denied rumours circulating about the suspension of Friday prayers in the Sultanate of Oman.
GC said in a statement that there is no truth to what is being circulated about stopping Friday prayers, and the old post dates back to the precautionary measures of the Sultanate of Oman in March 2020. “We ask everyone to take the information from its official source,” it added.
The post stated that the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Oman announces the suspension of Friday prayers due to fears of the outbreak of Covid-19.
