His Majesty meets Shaikhs of Al Dakhiliyah, Al Wusta

Manah: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a meeting with shaikhs of the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah and Al Wusta at Hisn Al Shumookh in the Wilayat of Manah on Tuesday.

This was announced in a statement issued by the Diwan of Royal Court reading as follows:

“Within the context of the Royal attention of His Majesty the Sultan to confer with Omani people in all governorates, study their needs for basic projects and development services, converse with them face to face about all that benefits this noble country and its loyal people and facilitate all the difficulties that might come in the way of the country’s march of comprehensive growth, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today held a meeting with shaikhs of Al Dakhiliyah and Al Wusta at Hisn Al Shumookh in the Wilayat of Manah.

At the outset of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan gave thanks and praise to the Almighty Allah for the prosperity He has bestowed on the Sultanate of Oman. His Majesty the Sultan prayed to the Almighty to perpetuate these bounties so that the blessed Omani renaissance would attain wider horizons of progress.

Then, His Majesty the Sultan spoke about a number of developmental, economic and social projects that respond to the aspirations of the country and its citizens. He gave directives for collaborative action between the government and citizens to help realize these aspirations. The desired action stems from the wise Royal vision for the governorates to play their roles and practice their responsibilities in terms with the provisions of the system (statute) attached to Royal Decree No 101/2020 promulgating the Governorates and Municipal Affairs System (law), so that they could deliver their missions in a manner that conforms with the requirements of the current period and aligns with Oman Vision 2040.

His Majesty the Sultan also issued directives to increase the sums accorded to Governorates Development Programme from RO 10 million to RO 20 million for each governorate during the current Five Year Plan, with effect from 2022. The Royal directives require the respective governors to present annual executive plans to the departments concerned about ways to expend the sums.

His Majesty the Sultan also tasked the governors with the responsibility of following up the execution of social and service projects in their respective governorates.

Then, His Majesty the Sultan issued directives to provide appropriate financial support to Omani Women’s Associations and to public and private rehabilitation centres catering to people with disabilities, in all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman, so that these organisations could better perform the significant roles in serving society and developing its potentials.

The meeting was attended by HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, HH Sayyid Belarab bin Haitham al Said, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Shaikh Hilal bin Said al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, Shaikh Meathad bin Mohammed al Yaaqoubi, Governor of Al Wusta, and walis of the governorates of Al Dakhiliyah and Al Wusta.

May the Almighty Allah protect His Majesty the Sultan and assist him with power to pursue the path of bounties. May He eternalize Oman’s riches and endow the country and its people with further peace and security.” –ONA
