Muscat: The blood bank thanked those who responded to the call to donate blood and confirmed that the need for more blood type O+ donors continued.
The Department of Blood Banks Services said: “We thank everyone who took the initiative to donate blood yesterday, but there is still more need for a blood group. We hope those who are able to donate blood rush to donate blood today at the Central Blood Bank in Bausher.”
Yesterday, the Department of Blood Banks Services issued an urgent appeal to donors, due to the decrease in the number of blood donors, which led to a decrease in the stock of O+ blood type.
