Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Fahd Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers received here on Monday Dr. Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Iranian official conveyed greetings and best wishes of President Dr. Ebrahim Raisi of Iran to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations and means of enhancing them in various fields. It also touched on matters of common interest.
The two sides exchanged views on regional and international developments and the efforts exerted for the consolidation of peace and stability to serve the peoples of the region and enhance international cooperation.
The two sides stressed the importance of activating the joint Omani-Iranian committee, as well as increasing consultations between the two countries on several issues of regional concern.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister and Ali Najafi Khoshroudi, Ambassador of Iran to Oman.
