Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik ton Tuesday received greetings from Khalid bin Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of Majlis Ash’shura, on the 11th of January Anniversary, the day when His Majesty assumed reins of power, reading as follows:
Your Majesty,
It is my honor on my own behalf on behalf of the members of Majlis Ash’shura employees of General Secretariat, to convey to Your Majesty our sincerest greetings and on the second anniversary of Your Majesty’s accession to the throne, praying to Allah Almighty to protect Your Majesty and return the occasion while you enjoy good health and well-being.

Your Majesty’s Royal meetings with your people and listening to their aspirations and hopes have delighted the souls of your sons and filled their hearts with pride. What Your Majesty has established of a constructive shura (consultation) and dialogue as well as your wise directives and close follow-up to your loyal people, stem from Your Majesty’s attention to your people and your lofty will to anticipate the future with determination to achieve the noble goals and objectives that serve stability, security, and a dignified life for the people of this dear country.
