World Giants’ captain Darren Sammy said the group of players gave an entertaining performance without any pressure.

“We enjoyed playing again after some years and our players gave their best without any pressure.”

Sammy said the players enjoyed the beauty of Muscat and hoped to come again. “Muscat was great with its hospitality and vibrant nature. We enjoyed playing at Al Amerat Stadium. It’s a great venue to host such matches.”

“There are a lot of great players in the squad. After some golf practice in Muscat, I thought about swinging my bat a bit and it worked. Happy to play the vital knock in the final.”

Giants’ Morne Morkel became the player of the tournament after picking up eight wickets in the batting-friendly pitches.

“It was a challenge bowling in these conditions with short boundaries. I tried to mix it up and bowled according to the situation. It was a tremendous experience with the support of my team-mates,” the former South African speedster said.

Asia Lions captain Misbah-ul-Haq congratulated the World Giants for winning the title.

“Credit to World Giants, they played very well. We tried our best to chase the big total. It was a great atmosphere in Muscat and great to play again in these conditions,” the former Pakistan skipper said.
