Muscat: His Majesty the Sultan on Thursday bestowed the Oman Civil Order of the First Class on King Philippe Leopold Louis Marie, King of the Belgians and hosted an official luncheon in his honour.
“His Majesty the Sultan bestows the King of the Belgians with the Oman Civil Order of the First Class, in appreciation and as an expression of the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, they also exchanged souvenirs,” Oman TV said.
His Majesty then hosted a luncheon at the Al Alam Palace on the occasion.
Honourable Lady receives Queen
Also at Al Alam Palace on Thursday, the Honorable lady, spouse of His Majesty the Sultan, received the Queen of the Belgians.
“The Honourable lady, spouse of His Majesty the Sultan, received today at Al Alam Palace Mathilde Marie Christine Ghislaine d’Udekem d’Acoz, Queen of the Belgians, as part of her visit to the Sultanate of Oman. She is hosting a special luncheon in her honour this afternoon,” Oman TV said.
