Muscat; The fifth edition of the Al Bashaer Annual Camel Festival will be organized from February 28 to March 5 with the support of HH Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan.
A press conference to announce more details regarding the event will be held tomorrow under the chairmanship of Dr Abdullah bin Salem bin Saeed Al-Junaibi, director of Al-Bashaer Square Department for Arab Camel.
Dr Abdullah stated that the conference will be held in Al-Bashaer Square in Adam, with the participation of the media, camel owners, enthusiasts and social media to delve into the details and surprises of the annual festival activities.
The most prominent details will be about 25 SUV cars as prizes for winners of different ages and categories, from varied distances (robotic rider) 4&5 km for the young age, a distance of 6/8 for old age, and there are also surprises for a race for the (human rider) from a distance of 2/12 km.
On the other hand, more information will be shared regarding the installation of the new application of the camel database (Al-Bashaer square). It will be the first time in the field in Al-Bashaer festival. Also he added that there are other artistic programs that will be on display including the Heritage Forum and folk arts.
