Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, represented by the Directorate General of Private Universities and Colleges, held its annual meeting here on Wednesday with deans of private higher education institutions in Oman.
Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation highlighted matters of common interest which contribute to enhancing the quality of higher education in Oman and upgrading its position internationally.
She also touched on connecting higher education with labour segments and industry sectors.
The meeting aimed to identify challenges facing the march of private higher education institutions. It also proposed several recommendations to overcome those challenges and to enhance the quality of educational outputs.
