Majan University College (MUC) excelled at the annual GHEDEX event, which took place at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre from March 27th to 29th, under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Fahar bin Fatik Al Said.
MUC claimed four awards: three in the specific areas of advanced technology, student support, and best exhibitor, plus a fourth in the ‘best of the best’ category. Majan’s well-designed and strikingly colourful stand attracted the eyes of large numbers of attendees, many of whom were also aware of the College’s reputation and achievements since it was founded in 1995. A wide range of MUC staff attended GHEDEX, mingling with prospective students and colleagues from other institutions so as to promote the College’s attractive portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and the bespoke training opportunities it can offer.
MUC also took a prominent part in GHEDEX’s International Conference on Quality in Higher Education, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nasr bin Amer Al Hosni, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour, on 28th March. The College’s Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Nabila Al Macki, and its Head of the Faculty of Business Management, Dr Ammar AlBalushi, both gave well-received presentations that stimulated interest and provoked debate.
