Feature film shot in picturesque locations in a country have become tourism attractions and destinations as have been seen in many cases globally.
One can see more films being shot in the Sultanate of Oman as the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has signed an agreement with Action Films Production Company and Destinations Rising Company.
The OCCI has signed an agreement to support and promote the film industry.
The agreement signed with Action Films LLC (a post-production company) and Destinations Rising, the company specialised in promotion of international films and TV production sites globally, is aimed at promoting the country as an attractive destination for film-making.
Through this agreement, the OCCI seeks to promote the country’s unique terrain as potential locations for film and television industries from all over the world.
“The agreement is aimed at making the Sultanate of Oman a preferred destination for film production, putting it on the map of countries which attract such industries and compete internationally in this sector. This is will be in addition to the efforts made to promote the country’s key global tourist attractions,” the statement added.
The campaign to promote the country as an ideal location for film and TV productions is supported by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, the Ministry of Information and Omran company, as it provides opportunities for investment in this field, especially to small and medium enterprises.
