Muscat:The Sultanate of Oman welcomes the announcement by the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen of a truce in the sisterly Republic of Yemen for a period of two months, Oman News Agency, ( ONA ), said.
A statement issued online by ONA said :”The Ministry of Foreign expresses the Sultanate of Oman’s welcome to the announcement by His Excellency Hans Grundberg, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Yemen, of a truce in the sisterly Republic of Yemen for a period of two months, praising the positive discussions held by the UN envoy during his recent visits to Muscat.”
“It affirms its continued efforts with the United Nations and the concerned parties with the aim of ending the war and reaching a comprehensive political settlement,” the statement added
