Muscat: The Ministry of Labour on Sunday rolled out an initiative dubbed Sahim which aims to provide 2,216 job opportunities on temporary contract basis in the public sector in different governorates.
By rolling out the initiative, the ministry seeks to enhance the decentralization principle and enable national job-seekers to contribute to the development process in the governorates.
The job opportunities cover various disciplines from GED to bachelor’s degree. A total of 2,130 vacancies for holders of bachelor’s degree and post-GED qualification and 86 jobs for job-seekers with GED qualification.
The ministry will open the registration for the announced jobs for four weeks from the date of announcement. — ONA
