The Food Safety and Quality Center (FSQC) has warned of the possible contamination of Kinder Surprise Maxi 100gm, which has an expiry date of October 1, 2022.
Based on technical information and international notifications, the center’s specialists have taken the necessary measures to ensure that the market is free of this product, according to the operational numbers L004L03 – L005L03-AD, the country of manufacture is Belgium.
It called on consumers to report in case of finding the said product in the market.

The Ferrero Group said that it has voluntarily taken a decision to withdraw certain batches of Kinder Surprise Maxi 100 GR products manufactured in Belgium and which expire on October 1, 2022, as a precautionary measure.
No other Ferrero product, including other Kinder products, will be affected by this voluntary refund.
Ferrero Gulf stated in a statement that it considers the safety of consumers the utmost priority and that it is in line with the news that spread in Europe about reported cases of salmonella that may be related to “Kinder” products manufactured in Belgium, and that it reassures consumers and customers in the GCC states that no positive Salmonella test has been confirmed from Kinder products.
The group added, “It is worth noting that the Kinder Surprise Maxi 100 GR product is the only one that is produced in the Belgian factory out of all the products sold in the GCC by Ferrero, which are manufactured and imported from eight different factories.”
Belgian authorities on Friday ordered the closure of a Kinder chocolate factory suspected to be behind a wave of salmonella cases in several European countries and the United States.
The decision and the health concerns were blows to its owner, Italian confectionery giant Ferrero, coming at the height of the Easter holiday season when its Kinder chocolates are sought-after supermarket buys.
Ferrero issued a statement saying it “sincerely apologizes” for the spate of salmonella cases and acknowledging the suspension of operations of its factory located in the southeastern town of Arlon.
Belgium’s food safety authority, AFSCA, said in a statement the plant was ordered shut “following the findings of the last few hours that information provided by Ferrero is incomplete”.
It ordered the recall of the factory’s entire production of the company’s popular Kinder brand.
