Muscat: Madayn witnessed an increase in the volume of investments by OMR108.39 million during 2021 compared to the previous year.
The Public Establishment for Industrial Estate said: “Madayn received 325 new requests for investment during 2021, and signed 252 contracts in various industrial, service, and commercial activities, while continuing to study and analyse the remaining contracts, as the number of projects in the industrial sector reached 106 projects in various sectors, including foodstuffs, mining, plastic, and others.”
“With the new projects, Madayn achieved an increase in the volume of investments by OMR108.39 million, with a growth rate of 1.6 per cent compared to 2020, as Sohar Industrial City managed to attract more than OMR37 million during the year 2021, while the total investments in the industrial cities of Sur and Samail increase by about OMR18 million,” Madayn added.
