MUSCAT: The Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) has approved participation of the Sultanate of Oman athletes in 10 disciplines in the third GCC Games to be held in Kuwait from May 13 to 31.
The Oman contingent will include 156 athletes in 10 events.
The GCC Games will include 16 individual and group events, namely handball, volleyball, basketball, futsal, swimming, athletics, karate, judo, fencing, archery, tennis, cycling, ice hockey, table tennis, electronic games and padel sports.
The OOC has decided to participate in athletics for men, athletics for women, swimming, shooting, karate, volleyball, triathlon for women, electronic games, futsal and padel for women.
The Oman Olympic Committee has formed a working team to prepare and organise all aspects related to the Games in Kuwait.
The Oman Olympic Committee had issued a booklet that includes all the data related to the Oman participation.
