Ministry organises campaign for aerial spraying of Dobas palm bug

Al Awabi: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources organised on Tuesday a campaign for aerial spraying of the Dobas palm bug (spring generation) 2022 in South Al Batinah Governorate.

Aerial spraying  has covered the villages of the Wilayat of Al Awabi, the villages of Wadi Bani Kharous, Al Sabikha Village and Falaj Bani Khazir Village.

The campaign aimed to gradually get rid of the Dobas palm bug and to mitigate the impacts of the pest on the date palm trees in the villages of the Wilayat.

The aerial spraying campaign is preceded with programmes and meetings for clarifying the menace  of this inspect and to guide citizens to follow the proper methods to curb the spread of this insect.
