Zubair EDC signs agreement to encourage entrepreneurship and foster SMEs growth in Oman

Muscat: The Zubair Enterprises Development Centre (Zubair EDC) signed an agreement with DAI Global designed to encourage entrepreneurship and support the growth of SMEs in the Sultanate of Oman.

The agreement with DAI will empower, inspire, and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs in Oman using strategies and programmes designed to support SMEs. The agreement was signed by Chris MacDonald, Managing Director of DAI Oman, and Said Al Sahib, Director of Zubair EDC.

Speaking about the agreement, Ali Shaker, Head of Business Development and Partnership at Zubair EDC said, “Zubair EDC vision reflects the importance of small and medium enterprises in enhancing the national economy and contributing to sustainable socio-economic development. We believe that entrepreneurs and SMEs in Oman can achieve their goals when provided with the right ecosystem, which includes facilities like workshops, coaching and training. This is where DAI and Zubair EDC join hands to establish the right entrepreneurial infrastructure for them. The Centre will facilitate the building and promotion of SMEs and entrepreneurship via training programmes and coaching designed by DAI. He added by the signing of this agreement, we look forward to the creation of the right environment in which we can help mould and motivate Oman’s future entrepreneurs and SMEs.”

Chris MacDonald, Managing Director of DAI Oman said, “We are pleased to sign this agreement today with Zubair EDC, and are certain of the benefit that this partnership will provide SMEs and entrepreneurs in Oman. DAI will provide training services and support Zubair EDC in delivering the programme to empower SMEs with the required skills and knowledge to run their businesses.”
