Ankara: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Turkey confirmed that the search operation for the Omani citizen who fell into a river in the city of Ayder in northern Turkey is still going on, and the matter is being followed up with the Turkish authorities.
The Sultanate of Oman’s embassy in Ankara said: “The embassy received a report that an Omani citizen fell into a river in the city of Ayder in northern Turkey, and the embassy explained that efforts are being made by the civil defence, policemen and the Turkish army to search for him.”
The embassy called on citizens to follow the safety guidelines for tourism in Turkey to avoid accidents.
