OMR3.3 million sanctioned for road projects in Sohar

Sohar: Sohar Municipality, North Al Batinah Governorate awarded yesterday a project on rehabilitation of the service road at Falaj Al Qabayil Area, in the Wilayat of Sohar for OMR3.300 million.

The projects is on rehabilitation of two sites, the first is for the length of 3 kilometres and the width of 9 metres and the second site is for 1.7 kilometres and the width of 9 metres.

Sohar Municipality is currently working with the company executing the projects on approval of the final designs. The project’s works would commence during the last quarter of the current year.

The project also comprises rehabilitation works at the roads parallel to the main road at Masha’ail Al Noor Street. The rehabilitation of these service roads would lead to smooth traffic and improve the traffic safety at the area.
