Muscat: The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has issued a clarification on the impact on fixed and mobile communications and the Internet, for communications in the Musandam Governorate.
A statement said: “The Authority would like to report a failure in one of the sub-marine fiber optic cables, which in turn affected in part fixed and mobile communications and the Internet in the Musandam Governorate.”
The Authority added: “Companies whose services have been affected are working to divert telecommunications to the available alternative routes.”
