Muscat: A new batch of female holders of the General Education Diploma (GED) has joined the Royal Oman Police (ROP), on Sunday.
The move comes within the framework of the efforts made by ROP to recruit nationals in coordination with the Ministry of Labour and is aimed at providing ROP with women police to enhance the work of the security system.
The new recruits will receive training at the Institute of Women Police of the Sultan Qaboos Academy for police sciences in order to be able to effectively perform various police tasks and duties.
The training programme includes military training, academic and legal studies and practice. — ONA
