Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources represented by the fisheries control team in Muscat Governorate seized 420 kg of shrimp prepared for sale during the ban season. Legal procedures are under way against violators.
The ministry banned fishing and trading of shrimp during the period from December 1, 2021 until August 31, 2022.
However, farmed and imported shrimp are exempted from fishing and trading.
