Muscat: The Muscat Municipality on Monday said they have decided to stop issuing licences for car cleaning and polishing business in residential buildings.
“Within the efforts of Muscat Municipality to promote a healthy living for the local community, and following the issues that arise from carrying out these activities in residential neighbourhoods, Muscat Municipality has announced recently the discontinuation of licences for establishing car cleaning and polishing businesses in buildings of residential and commercial-residential use,” the Municipality said in a statement.
The Municipality has authorised the establishment of these businesses only at petrol stations located across Muscat Governorate and in industrial areas, and has also considered the current commercial facilities engaged in car cleaning & polishing activities, and granted them a period of not more than 5 five years to rectify their conditions.
