Muscat: As part of measures to boost the tourism sector in the Sultanate, the Civil Aviation Authority on Monday issued a first model acceptance certificate for hot air balloons in Oman.
“In the context of supporting sources of economic diversification in the civil aviation sector, the authority issued the first certificate of acceptance of a model for hot air balloons in the Sultanate of Oman, in accordance with the international standards and recommendations set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation. This step is possible to attract investors in this field,” the agency said.
