Muscat: On the occasion of the Prophet’s Hijra Anniversary and the new Hijri year 1444 AH, the first day of Muharram (Sunday, July 31) will be an official holiday for employees of public and private sector companies, institutions, and establishments in Oman.
“Sunday July 31, will be an official holiday for the public and private sectors, on the occasion of Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birthday anniversary and the advent of the new Hijri year 1444 AH,” Oman News Agency said.
