Cairo: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Economy, took part on Thursday in the extraordinary ministerial session for the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League, held in Cairo, Egypt.
This meeting came within the framework of preparations for the 31st regular session of the Arab Summit, which will be hosted by Algeria in November 2022.
Oman’s delegation in the meeting is headed by Dr Said Mohammed al Saqri, Minister of Economy.
The meeting discussed a spectrum of topics, namely the report of the Arab League’s Secretary General on joint Arab action in the development of economic and social fields, as well as the recent developments related to the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, among other topics.
