Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (MoCIIP) announced the extension of the package of facilities for commercial companies in all their legal forms wishing to liquidate their commercial records until December 31, 2022.

This is with the aim of facilitating these commercial establishments and correcting their conditions, and encouraging owners of multiple commercial records to liquidate their commercial establishments.

Khalid bin Khamis Al Masrouri, Director of the Commercial Establishments Control Department, MoCIIP, said that “the liquidation or merging of commercial records contributes to addressing the phenomenon of multiple commercial records, correcting market conditions, improving the business environment and its competitiveness, and supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) development plans.”

He further added that a request for liquidation can be submitted electronically through the electronic portal ‘Invest Easy’ or through Sanad Service Centres, and attach the required documents.

It is noteworthy that the number of companies that benefited from the facilities package that the MoCIIP started operating on June 15, 2021 until the end of May 15, 2022, amounted to 3,607 companies.
