Muscat: Heavy rainfall was recorded over a number of wilayats in the governorates of North Al Sharqiyah, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah and Al Buraimi on Wednesday.
Oman Meteorology said in a statement: “Expansion of local formations over the Hajar Mountains and the neighbouring wilayats, and rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by active winds and hail falling over some wilayats located in the North Al-Sharqiyah (Al-Qabil, Al-Mudhaibi, Ibra), Al-Dakhiliyah (Al-Hamra, Bahla and Nizwa) and Al Dhahirah (Dhank, Ibri and Yanqul), Al Buraimi and Mahdah.”
