Muscat: More than one million mangrove saplings have been planted in Al Wusta Governorate.
A statement issued online by the Environment Authority said: “To compliment the efforts of the Environment Authority in implementing the national initiative to plant 10 million trees, and in cooperation with the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), the authority has started the implementation of the third phase of a campaign to plant 1.5 million mangrove seeds in the Wetland Reserve in the Wilayat of Mahout in the Al Wusta Governorate.”
