Muscat: Rescue teams at the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in South Al Batinah Governorate responded to a drowning report of a family of five people in Al Sawadi Beach in the Wilayat of Barka.
“As a result of the accident, the father and two children died, the mother and a healthy child were rescued,” CDAA said in a statement.
The CDAA called on everyone to follow safety guidelines, not to swim in undesignated places, and to monitor children to avoid tragic drowning accidents.
The authority also extended its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased and thanks all the citizens who contributed to the search and rescue operations.
