Muscat: Oman’s total oil exports saw an increase of 16.2 percent untill the end of June 2022 according to the latest statistics of the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The report said that China topped the list of the Sultanate’s oil importing countries till the end of June 2022 at 123. 10 million barrels.
The total domestic production of the Sultanate’s natural gas (including imports) up to end of last June increased by 4.4 percent to 25.77 billion cubic metres compared to 24. 69 billion cubic metres during the same period in 2021.
This increase is mainly attributed to the increase in production of accompanying gas by 7.9 percent to reach 4. 8 billion cubic metres compared to 4.52 billion cubic metres at the end of June 2021 along with the increase of production of non-accompanying gas (including imports) by 3.6 percent to reach 20.88 billion cubic metres compared to 20.17 billion cubic metres at to end of June 2021.
The Sultanate’s average daily oil production up to end of June 2022 amounted to 1.047 million barrels, registering an increase of 9.7 percent compared to 954,900 barrels during the same period in 2021.
The NCSI statistics also pointed to the increase of average oil price till the end of June by 60.9 percent at $90.4 per barrel compared to the same period in 2021.
The industrial projects topped the list of consumption of natural gas by 15.49 billion cubic metres, an increase of 6 percent from the total gas consumption till the end of June 2022 followed by the consumption by oilfields at 6.44 billion cubic metres, an increase of 2.1 percent.
