Muscat: The Consulate of the Sultanate of Oman in Mumbai is following up on the incident of citizens who were defrauded by police impostors while they were in Mumbai.
The consulate said in a statement: “The consulate is following up with the competent authorities in Mumbai about the incident of citizens who were subjected to fraud and theft by impersonators of police officers in civilian clothes while they were in the Colaba area in Mumbai after meeting the mentioned persons at their residence.”
The Consulate would like the honorable citizens in the city of Mumbai to take caution, and recommends not to carry large amounts of cash or valuable possessions, and to be careful not to go out in the late hours of the night.
