The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) issued 13,944 land transport vehicle operating cards through its Naql platform during the first half of this year and 139 special cargo transport permits.
The Ministry also approved through the Invest Easy system 413 licenses for land transport activities.
Naql platform allows the authorities to issue and renew transportation registration cards, issue licenses for taxis and permits for special exceptional cargo transport services.
The platform is linked to the vehicle registration systems of the Royal Oman Police and Invest easily at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Investment Promotion (MOCIIP) to verify the details and activities of individuals or institutions.
