Muscat: More than 700 people have donated blood at the central blood bank in Baushar during the last three days.
The Department of Blood Banks Services (DBBS) said in a statement: “712 blood and 30 platelets donations at the central blood bank in Baushar during the past three days. Thank you to blood donors and thank you to everyone who contributed to spreading our appeal.”
DBBS previously appealed to people to donate blood and platelets as it needs more than 500 blood donors this week due to low stock of most blood types at the blood banks in the Sultanate of Oman.
