Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has appreciated the Royal orders of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, which ordered the payment of the financial claims incurred by some owners of small and medium enterprises and individuals, amounting to 1,169 of owed cases, amounting to two million Omani riyals, cancelling the imprisonment orders issued against them, and lifting All reservations for them.
The Chamber affirmed that this generous gesture from His Majesty expresses the extent of interest and care that entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises enjoy due to the great importance they represent in the national economy and the future prospects for the growth of these enterprises as an integral part of the Omani private sector.
His Excellency Eng. Rida bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s high interest in this segment of the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman confirms his keenness to address the problems faced by small and medium enterprises in order to advance them to perform their desired role in the national economy.
His Excellency pointed out that the private sector, represented by OCCI, is looking forward to business owners, especially owners of small and medium enterprises, to benefit from this generous gesture. To form an incentive for them to continue to practice their own business, to broaden their horizons, and to benefit from life experiences, thus contributing to strengthening their resolve towards more effort and achievement.
