Muscat: The Sultanate won membership of the UPU Board of Directors for the period 2021-2024.
His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed his happiness at the Sultanate winning Board of Directors membership at the Universal Postal Union for the period 2021-2024 during the elections held at the World Postal Conference in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.
His Excellency said in a statement to Oman News Agency that the Sultanate’s victory will enable it to contribute positively to the development of international postal work strategies, embodying its pioneering role, its civilisational heritage and its historical links through times and eras.
