300 students to take part in Sohar Half Marathon

Suhar – SOHAR Port and Freezone will sponsor 300 students and 20 employees at the upcoming Sohar Half Marathon, taking place on September 23, 2022.

Organized by Excellence Performance, the Suhar Half Marathon aims to enrich the youth of the Al Batinah North governorate and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.

SOHAR will sponsor 50 students from Grade 7 and 8 to participate in the 3km race, 150 students from Grade 9 and above to take part in the 10km race, and 100 students from colleges and universities in the governorate to enter the Suhar Half Marathon event.

Mohsin al Jabri, executive manager – Corporate Affairs, said, “We are very proud to support the community and enrich the lives of youth in Oman. Being able to offer 300 students the chance to take part in the Suhar Half Marathon forms a key component in our ongoing student development, health, and sports programs for schools, and we hope that the event inspires runners of all ages to focus on their health and be more active.”
