Muscat: Food Safety and Quality Centre recommends avoiding the consumption of “LolliPop” candy produced in India by the “king pops” brand due to the presence of apparent molds.
Food Safety and Quality Centre announced in a statement that some “king pops” candy products, produced in India, were contaminated with apparent molds. The validity period is from April 2022 to March 2024.
In the interest of consumer health and safety, the Centre is currently working to ensure that local markets are free of affected products, if any, in coordination with the concerned authorities.
The Centre recommends all consumers to avoid specific products.
