Oman ranks first globally in ratio of science, engineering graduates
Oman News Agency (ONA) reported that the Sultanate of Oman is ranked first globally in the science and engineering outputs index from the total number of graduates, and third globally in the government spending index per student according to the results of the Global Innovation Index for 2022 issued by the World Intellectual Property Organisation.
Water bottling plant raided in Oman
“The Department of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, in cooperation with the Consumer Protection Authority, is controlling a water bottling plant that tampered with explanatory data after there were reports from some citizens, ” the Ministry said in a statement.
New species of fish found in Oman
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has documented a new species of fish for the first time in the Sultanate of Oman. “An Omani fisherman caught the Escolar fish, a member of Gempylidae ( snake mackerel) family in the eastern coasts of Mirbat, Dhofar Governorate,” the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources said in a statement.
