Muscat: Every Omani citizen, 10 years and above, has to obtain an ID card. Those 10 years of age or less can obtain the ID card provided a consent letter from the parents.
The regulation determines the form of the card and the data that should be listed, validity, documents and procedures of obtaining it.
As per the Royal Decree No 59/ 2021 published on August 29 amending some provisions of the Civil Status Law.
