MUSCAT: Voltamp Transformers, a high power production firm, succeeded in producing the first 500 MVA /220 kV transformer at its unit in the Wilayat of Suhar.
The company said that the achievement was the result of efforts to bolster the industrial sector in the Sultanate and contribute to self-sufficiency in producing electric transformers.
Voltamp explained that the new transformer has been installed in the Airport Heights’ electric grid in the Governorate of Muscat. Currently, the firm is embarked on producing the first 400 KV transformer at its unit. — ONA
