Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik affirms that the new draft labour law has been completed and hopes to redouble efforts regarding employment initiatives.
Oman TV issued a statement: His Majesty the Sultan affirmed, while presiding over the Council of Ministers at Al Baraka Palace, that the new draft labour law that has been completed by the government is hoped to contribute to encouraging investment, achieving a balance between the interests of workers and employers, and encouraging job seekers to join the private sector.
His Majesty also expressed his satisfaction with the efforts made regarding employment initiatives and directed the importance of redoubling those efforts.
This is to accelerate employment initiatives in order to employ citizens in various sectors, including the wage subsidy initiative, the initiative to provide job opportunities in the government sector with temporary contracts, and the initiative of one million hours for part-time work in government institutions.
