Muscat: The Directorate General of Health Services at Muscat Governorate began on Sunday conducting the Comprehensive National Survey for Vector Borne Diseases.
Similar survey campaigns conducted by Directorates General of Health Services began across all governorates.
The national survey aims to enhance individual health and protect individuals and the society from epidemic outbreaks transmitted by disease vectors. It also targets creating a database on the breeding places of those vectors. The database will be utilized to facilitate evidence-based control operations.
