Muscat: A total of 727 candidates, including 28 women, are in the final list for the Municipal Council membership for the third term, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced on Thursday.

The final list is available at the election website (www.elections.om).

As per Article 41 of the municipal council regulations, it is permissible for each candidate to carry out an electoral propaganda to introduce him/herself, effective from the date of announcing the final lists of candidates, until the day prior to the day of voting.

According to MoI, the candidate may use the following means for the electoral propaganda, which are billboards, publications, local newspapers, and meeting with voters, provided that electoral propaganda requests are submitted through the election website.
