Muscat – In view of the forthcoming election of members to the Municipal Council’s boards in Oman, the Ministry of Interior has extended, November 10, 2022, the period set for voter names’ entry into the Electoral Register, as well as the period for transfer of voter files from one Wilayat to another.
The ministry urged citizens who were not previously registered in the Electoral Register to submit their applications as soon as possible via the Elections website (elections.om). Such citizens are advised to make sure that their national identity cards are supplied with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for electronic authentication.
The ministry advised voters wishing to transfer their registration to submit their applications via the elections website, according to their current permanent addresses.
