Algiers: HH Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan on Thursday visited the Great Mosque of Algiers.

This came within the context of HH Sayyid Asaad heading Oman’s delegation at the 31st Arab Summit which concluded on Wednesday.

HH Sayyid Asaad was greeted upon his arrival at the mosque by Mohammed Maamoun al Kacimi, Head of the Great Mosque of Algiers.

Al Kacimi underscored the advanced cultural relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and Algeria. He pointed out that Oman is a model of religious tolerance.

Moreover, HH Sayyid Asaad also visited the “Maqam Al Saheed” or “Martyr’s Memorial” and the National Museum of Moudjahid.
