Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Information, took part in the 25th meeting of GCC ministers of information, held on Thursday via video conferencing.
Dr Abdullah bin Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information, represented Oman at the meeting.
The meeting discussed various aspects of cooperation and mechanisms of action proposed by panels specialised in international media—broadcasting, television and news agencies, as well as related engineering affairs.
The ministers studied a report submitted by the Gulf Radio and Television Organization and a report by the GCC Joint Programme Production Institution. They took decisions related to the two organizations’ projects, in a manner that serves the common interests of member states.
