Muscat: Muscat Municipality has assigned work to construct the duplication of Halban Street (the first phase) in the Al-Maabela area in the Wilayat of Seeb, and the construction of a ground intersection with light signals, to provide a smooth passage process to the areas served by the road.
The municipality said in a statement: “In the interest of the Muscat Municipality to raise traffic efficiency in the region and associated streets, work has been assigned to start implementing the Halban Street duplication project (phase one), which aims to solve the problem of growing traffic congestion in the region and improve traffic and traffic safety at all levels. Halban Street, and the construction of a ground intersection with light signals to provide a smooth and effective traffic flow to the areas served by the road. The service roads will also provide direct entrances to residential areas, and improve the rainwater drainage system in the project area.”
